Olivia Rodrigo Joins No Doubt for Surprise ‘Bathwater’ Performance: On the second night of Coachella, Olivia Rodrigo joined No Doubt on the Coachella Main Stage for a surprise performance of “Bathwater.” This is both Rodrigo’s and No Doubt’s first Coachella appearance.
She asked, “You showed up to Coachella, Saturday night 2024, to see No Doubt play on this stage for the first time in nine years?” The 54-year-old frontwoman addressed the massive crowd gathered before the festival’s main stage wearing a plaid outfit, her blond hair twisted into a pair of knots on top of her head.

For the eighth song of their set, the SoCal ska-pop band welcomed Rodrigo to the stage as a special guest. Stefani and Rodrigo traded verses on the 2000 single, with Rodrigo sporting a tanktop that read “I <3 ND.” The crowd ate it up, and the pair hugged at the end of the rendition before exiting the stage together.

During a recent interview with American Songwriter, Rodrigo praised Gwen Stefani as a true artist and cited No Doubt as a key source of inspiration.
“Gwen’s ability to evolve and explore different styles of music, songwriting and aesthetic while still staying true to herself is incredibly inspiring,” Rodrigo said. It’s pretty amazing how an artist defies stereotypes and preconceived notions and just makes stuff she thinks is cool. If that’s not a true artist, I don’t know what it is.”
According to Rodrigo, she discovered No Doubt’s 2000 album “Return of Saturn” at 15 years old. The dichotomy in Stefani’s music between wanting independence and wanting kids has always resonated with Rodrigo.
Rodrigo said, “Gwen’s singing was about being a woman moving about the world in detail that I had never heard before.” She unapologetically sings about everything from making out with someone to dreaming of having a husband and kids. Every song sounds like it’s ripped from the diary of the coolest girl you know.”
On her “Guts World Tour,” Rodrigo wore an “I’m Just a Girl” shirt, referring to No Doubt’s 1995 hit. She even covered it on her “Sour Tour” in 2022.
