When Vice President Kamala Harris became the flagbearer of the democratic party and presidential candidates there was a big question who would be the Running Mate for Kamala for this Election? Whereas there was no official announcement or hint as to who would be her Running Mate, it is speculated Pete Buttigieg is the most likely to be it. The former mayor of South Bend, Indiana was originally running against Trump in 2020 but dropped out and endorsed Biden.

Who is Pete Buttigieg
Pete Buttigieg is the current Secretary of Transport. Initially. Pete graduated from Oxford where he was awarded with Rhodes Scholarship, later Pete became an intelligence officer in the Navy attaining the rank of lieutenant, and was deployed to Afghanistan for seven years. In 2015 Pete came out as gay and got married to a schoolteacher and a writer. Pete is open about his personal life and becomes the first mayor of South Bends to get married while in office. He has adopted two newborn fraternal twins.
He became Transportation Secretary for the Biden reign in 2021. During his tenure, he has dealt with many issues which include global supply chain disruptions, airline industry upheavals, and the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. Buttigieg also attended the inauguration of the Brightline West high-speed rail project, intended to link Los Angeles with Las Vegas before the 2028 Olympics.

Is Pete Buttigieg Kamala’s Running mate
When Pete was asked this question he said “She’s going to do it based on what’s best for the country, best for the party, and best for the ticket. I will do everything in my power to make sure that she is the next president,”
