US Approves $20bn Arms Sale to Israel: The United States has provided funds of $20bn for weapons and many other armed items to Israelis even though Israeli forces are constantly breaking international law in Gaza and the West Bank that Israeli forces have captured.

On Tuesday, the State Department stated that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has accepted the approval for the sales of weapons that include F-15 fighter jets made by Boeing, AMRAAMs (Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles), 120 mm tank ammunition, high explosive mortars, and tactical vehicles.
Some other armed vehicles that are expected to arrive soon are 33,000 tank shells and up to 50,000 explosive mortar cartridges while 50 fighter jets could take almost a year to arrive.

In a statement, the state department said, “The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to US national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defence capability.”
The department also said that the sale of tank cartridges “will improve Israel’s capability to meet current and future enemy threats, strengthen its homeland defense and serve as a deterrent to regional threats.”
These weapon transfers were approved by the US as Israel gets ready for a revenge attack from Iran and the group Hezbollah in Lebanon after high-level Hamas and Hezbollah leaders were killed which caused terrors of the Middle East war.
The US said that it is trying to keep the situation from getting worse. On Tuesday, Joe Biden said that an Iranian revenge attack could be stopped if a ceasefire deal was executed to end the war in Gaza.

The Israeli forces have devasted parts of Gaza by killing nearly 40,000 people and severely destroying lands and properties. The Israeli forces have also stopped the routes of any aid.
People across the World asked the Biden administration to stop sending weapons to Israel as this proves their participation in the destruction of Gaza.
According to official reports, Israeli forces are constantly breaking international law like torture which has not ceased the flow of weapons despite the US law earlier noted that military units that are seriously accused of gross human rights violations must not get any help.
On Tuesday, US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said that her motive in the horrific situation is to “turn the temperature down”.
While speaking to the UN Security Council, she further stated, “That starts with finalising a deal for an immediate ceasefire with hostage release in Gaza. We need to get this over the finish line.”
