Tom Cruise Literally Flew into the Olympic Closing Ceremony: The Olympics closing ceremony has always been a grand one suited to the biggest sports event in the world that happens once every 4 years—the biggest action star of Hollywood Rapelled into Stade de France roof and then greeted the Olympic athletes.

Then The two gave the Olympic flag to Cruise who rode a motorcycle in a pre-filmed sequence that ended with the actor soaring above Los Angeles in a skydiving stunt.

The stunt Began with Tom Cruise rappelling into the Stade de France roof and ended with prerecorded footage of him on the Hollywood sign in Los Vegas. The stunt took approximately one and a half years to choreograph and plan. Executive producer and creative director Ben Winston of Fulwell 73 Productions told Vogue “The secrecy was tricky,” and there were multiple leaks of the ceremony’s exclusive footage which was shown in Paris. Around March, a video of Tom Cruise was captured by paparazzi as he climbed the Hollywood sign to film a portion of the stunt.

Winston told Vogue he pitched the idea to Tom Cruise in 2023 “because there’s nobody better to do an incredible stunt.”. Stunt Man was supposed to be heavily involved in the project but Tom Cruise being Tom Cruise rejected the idea
Among all the hard preparation the the hardest part was keeping your mouth zipped about the special performance. Winston said. “The secrecy was tricky, and there were lots of leaks, so it was a lot to live with for a year and a half, but I’m feeling very excited and proud,”
