Texas Star Colt McCoy Retires From Football: Colt McCoy the backup quarterback is now getting retired and taking up his career as a commentator. The 37-year-old veteran has signed his retirement from the NFL after playing 16 seasons and has joined a new team, NBC Sports.

Colt McCoy two-time finalist for the Heisman Trophy during his collegiate career at Texas. He finished his collegiate career as the winningest QB in NCAA Division I history.

In 56 games, McCoy threw for 7,975 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions during his professional career.

Colt remembers his Football career and expressing his love for football he said “Football is what I’ve done for 37 years,” McCoy reminisced in The Colt McCoy Story. “Three years old and I was the waterboy on my dad’s football team, and I’ve been around the game every day since.”
