State Stimulus Payments: Initially, stimulus checks were introduced to overcome the pandemic crisis, first at the federal level, and then at the state level.

West Virginia, Idaho, Wyoming, and Kansas are among the states that have banned the checks from being sent.
There are, however, some states that roll out their own stimulus payments, which isn’t the case in all 50 U.S. states.
Arizona Stimulus Payments
A new rebate approved by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs will make new money available to 743,000 residents.
There is a maximum rebate of $750 available to eligible taxpayers per dependent over 17.
State Stimulus Payments for California
A one-time tax credit of $3,600 will be available to California residents, along with a $1,083 ‘young child tax credit’.
You must also be eligible for the California earned income tax credit, have a child under age 6, and file your tax return by April 18, 2025 to qualify.
Colorado State Stimulus Payments
Through the TABOR refund, single filers could score up to $847, while couples filing jointly can score up to $1,694.
As a result, lower-income residents will receive a few hundred dollars more than they did previously.

Maryland Stimulus Payments
With the annual child tax credit, Maryland residents could see some extra money in their accounts this month.
Around 40,000 taxpayers who earn under $15,000 a year may qualify for the credit, which is worth up to $500 per child. It will be available to families with children under 6 or with disabilities.
New Mexico State Stimulus Payments
You could get up to $1,000 back if you filed your 2021 tax return by May 31, 2024, and you haven’t claimed a dependent on another return.
People who file as a couple can get up to $1,000, and people who file as individuals can get $500.
