Sifan Hassan Won Gold At Paris Olympics: Sifan is a Beast she already ran in 3 Olympics events before hoping to do the marathon. She participated in the 5,000 meters on Aug. 2, the final of the 5,000 on Monday, and the 10,000 final on Friday night, and just after 37 hours of the last event she was all set up for the marathon. She won 2 bronze medals and a Gold in the marathon which she participated in just out of curiosity.

“I feel like I am dreaming. At the end, I thought, ‘This is just a 100-meter sprint. Come on, Sifan. One more. Just feel it,’” Sifan said. “Every step I challenged myself, and now I am so grateful.”
Sifan won the medal with a record-breaking time of 2 hours, 22 minutes, 55 seconds defeating Assefa by 3 seconds won silver. Ethiopian Team appealed to get Sifan Disqualified as she was accused of obstructing Assefa but the appeal was declined because it appeared that she was blocking Sifan before they traded elbows.
“I didn’t expect at that moment it would happen. Maybe at that moment, if she didn’t push me I would have the gold,” Assefa said through a translator. “But anyway, I’m so happy for her that she gets the gold medal.”

On the other hand, the champion was still in shock that she won a Gold medal“I’m an Olympic champion,” she said. “How is that possible?”. When she was asked if she was nervous before the race she replied “I’m freaking scared of the marathon!” she said, “If you are asking if I’m nervous, I’m nervous! I’m really nervous!”
She continued saying “I’m not going to make myself crazy over golds. I already had two from Tokyo, I was grateful for those. Paris would be an experiment.”
Rowberry her Coach said They were joking about adding her to the relay race too but then he added in a serious tone that she is not ready for that yet.
He continued saying “Is there a limit on how many events you can do?” he wondered. “I don’t even know.”
