Sha’Carri Richardson and Gabby Thomas: The USA team wins another gold medal in the 4×100 track and event at the Paris Olympics 2024,
The USA Women’s relay team, which includes Gabby Thomas, Sha’Carri Richardson, Melissa Jefferson, and Twanisha Terry gave their best performance with a time of 41.78 and won the 4×100 track and event.
Great Britain’s Olympic team came second with a time of 41.97, which was their best time of the season.
Gabby Thomas gave her best on the third leg and was in the third position when she passed the baton to Richardson who showed exceptional running anchor leg and won the gold medal in the 4×100 track and event.

While being interviewed, Gabby Thomas said, “Obviously passing the baton to Sha’Carri is very special. She is so fast, you know we’re in good hands when she gets her hand on the baton. I felt very proud, and I was grateful to compete with these ladies, and we got the gold.”
In Tokyo 2020, the USA team came in second place in the 4×100 track and event, and first place was secured by the Jamaican team. Due to injuries, Jamaican team star runners couldn’t participate but they still won the event.
In track and field events, the U.S. women were among the best teams as they won most of the gold medals at the Olympics by completing all the relays.
Gabby Thomas won her second gold medal while Richardson’s won the gold medal in the 200m track and field event, she also came second in the 100m race.
