I asked Heritage Foundation president @KevinRobertsTX to set the record straight about Project 2025. He tells me "the one thing [the Left gets] right" is that it calls for the elimination of the Department of Education. pic.twitter.com/aoSIejoJGt

There are many close allies of former president and current Republican Party candidate Donald Trump who support this plan.
A number of agencies are included in the proposals, including the departments of Education and Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security.
Responses and interpretations surrounding the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and its health programs have been all over the place.
Analysis platforms like “Task & Purpose” and “Verify” have ruled out the possibility that the project would eliminate retiree health and economic benefits.
Proposals for Project 2025
Project 2025 wants most VA jobs to be filled by people appointed by the government. It also wants to speed up the review process for salary and benefit applications.
It also suggests changes to the VA’s Schedule for Rating Disabilities. This is the list that the Department uses to figure out how disabled candidates are.

It appears that Project 2025 will not eliminate pensions currently allocated. However, some beneficiaries could see their pension amount reduced due to revisions in disability rates.
Additionally, it will amend the PACT Act of 2022 and the Agent Orange Act of 1991 to limit the number of health conditions that qualify for VA pensions.
“Task & Purpose” reported that the VA is overwhelmed by the number of pension requests generated by these two initiatives.

Private health systems should be given priority
Project 2025 will let more private companies offer health care to veterans on benefits if it is put into action. But the budget will also go up so that patients can see private doctors who are part of the VA’s Community Care network.
Project 2025 is one of the most controversial plans proposed to reform the US government. Only time will tell the final impact it will have on VAhealth programs.
