Maryland House Explosion: On Sunday, a house in Baltimore, Maryland was burned down because of an explosion leaving 3 people injured and 1 dead.
The house that caught the explosion severely damaged the other nearby house.
According to the reports from authorities, the explosion took place around 6:42 a.m. on Arthur Woods Drive in the Harford County city of Bel Air which is about 32 miles north of Baltimore.
A picture was shared by the Harford County Fire and Emergency Medical Services on their official ‘X’ handle. The picture showed the house which was the main cause of the explosion was totally burned down and only a few pieces of wood were left.
The nearby house was also severely damaged because of the explosion and the whole area was filled with wood pieces.
The picture also featured the firefighters trying to put out the small fire and search through the wreckage of the house.

In a press conference, Oliver Alkire who is the Master Deputy State Fire Marshal said, “I’ve been on the job for 18 years and this was one of the largest explosions I’ve seen.”
He further said that when the explosion took place they were investigating a report of a gas leak in the area.
Harford County Fire and EMS Association spokesperson, Jeffrey Sexton said that that one person was found dead in a large explosion. However, the person who died, his identity has not been released yet.
He also reported that search and rescue teams were still investigating the debris on Sunday morning.

Oliver Alkire also added that a BG&E worker who was working on an electrical issue in the area was also injured by the blast.
He also noted that a woman in the neighboring house was also severely injured by the explosion.
Alkire said that several nearby homes were damaged and that an assessment of the damage was being done. He further added that the house was for sale.
Authorities reported that the residents in the area said that they heard a loud blast and felt their house shake.
The cause of the explosion has not been identified yet but the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Harford County Sheriff’s Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are currently investigating the incident spot to find the cause.
