Nicolas Maduro: On Sunday, the Presidential election was being held in Venezuelans and people are anxiously waiting for what is going to turn out to be the leader.
As per the reports, some poles in Venezuelans remained opened more than 3 hours after they were supposed to close.
However, after the election results were announced President Nicolás Maduro of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela was declared the winner, and he will retain his third term as the president.

Venezuelan citizens had never heard about Edmundo González who was chosen as a last-minute replacement for opposition leader Maria Corina Machado in April.
However, the opposition party was celebrating beforehand because of the prediction from some voting centers that Edmundo González was gonna win easily but after the results were announced the tides turned upside down.
A 31-year-old bank worker, Merling Fernández said, “I’m so happy,” as a spokesman for the opposition pastry stepped out of a voting center and said that González had more than doubled Maduro’s vote count.
He further added holding his tears, “This is the path toward a new Venezuela. We are all tired of this yoke.”

The campaign chief for Maduro, Jorge Rodriguez, said in a statement, “We can’t give results, but we can show face.”
However, Maduro supporters didn’t give up.
Machado told reporters backed by González at their campaign offices, “This is the decisive moment.”
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in a tweet on her X handle wrote, “The United States stands with the people of Venezuela who expressed their voice in today’s historic presidential election. The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected.”

Nicolás Maduro is 61 years old and was restricted by Maduro’s highest court that said he can’t run any office for 15 years.
After the voting, Nicolás Maduro said in a statement, “No one is going to create chaos in Venezuela. I recognize and will recognize the electoral referee, the official announcements and I will make sure they are recognized.”
