Lee Kiefer Made History: Lee Kiefer is a right-hand individual foil fencer who won a Gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Kiefer is a four-time NCAA champion, 12-time team Pan American champion, thirteen-time individual Pan American champion, and 2018 team world champion.

She is currently in France to reprgesent the USA in the Olympics in women’s foil on July 28 and women’s team foil on August 1, 2024. Lee kiefer made history on July 28 by winning two straight olympics gold medal in a row. She wpn the game against another American participant Lauren Scruggs with a score of 15-6. It was a all American Final boyh Gold and Silver went to america.

Kiefer won the the match with 40 seconds on clock and won the 3rd Gold medal for America of the Paris Olympics. And the runner up Lauren Scruggs made a history of her own by becoming the first by becoming the first Black women American fencer to win an individual medal in a women’s event.
Lee Kiefer After winning said “My first gold, I was not expecting myself to be able to compete like that with the Russians and the Italians,” she added “So it’s a pleasant surprise. I think I’ve grown my skills over the past few years and it becomes just a mental game every day trying to stay positive, trying to keep working at the details. There’s a lot of pressure that I placed on myself, so it was hard, but all the more beautiful because of that.”
