House of the Dragons Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: The fourth episode of the House of the Dragon aired on Sunday, July 7, and featured Aemond, Aegon, and Rhaenys in a confrontation.

As the midseason finale proved, the first real war had begun on the show. The fight at Rook’s Rest only sparked a dragon bloodbath later in the season.

House of the Dragons Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: It’s time for the real Dance of Dragons to begin
With the most recent episode of House of the Dragon, the hype about the big fight has finally come true. The epic battle wasn’t shown in any of the earlier episodes of this season until episode 4.
The show lived up to its name, “Dance of the Dragons,” with a bloody dance at the Rook’s Rest.
The last 10 to 15 minutes have a battle scene that is pure movie thanks to the work of the VFX team and the fight choreography.
The visual brilliance included Meley tearing open Sunfyre, Vhagar stomping over soldiers, and Vhagar’s jaws around Meley.
Each person went into the fight with a reason, like Aegon’s drunken rush into battle to prove himself, Aemond’s plan to kill Aegon, and Rhaenys’ action of giving up her life as she accepted her fate.

Strong character work and a sense of dread fill this show
The show wasn’t just great in the last quarter hour; it was also interesting before the fight. This episode had more characters from the show because they were setting up the fight.
Some of the things that people are interested in are Aegon and Rhaenyra’s fight at the Small Council meeting.
What else can we say? Matt Smith is beginning to show what he can do, and Tom Glyn Carney’s Aegon is still the show’s anchor.
It’s based on George R. R. Martin’s book of the same name, but episode 4 showed that Aemond had plans to kill his brother Aegon, which made the story more interesting.
