On Sundays, travelers can save up to 5% on domestic flights and 15% on international flights. According to Google, the flight rates are higher on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday than Saturday and Sunday.
The flight booking rates are generally 1.9% cheaper on Saturday and Sunday than on other days.
However, the best day to buy flights at the cheapest prices depends on when new deals are released by the airline companies.

Reports from Expedia said that if you are booking international flights, you can save up to 10% on foreign flights if you book them at least six months in advance.
Reports further state that the best deals on trips to Europe were reported 129 days before the actual flight date and the cheapest tickets were found 37 to 87 days before the flight.
