FAFSA Deadline 2024: To get the money you need for school, applying for financial aid can be a very important step.

A key part of this process is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which helps students get government aid, state aid, and college money.

When is the FAFSA deadline for 2024?

June 30, 2024 is the deadline for the FAFSA for the 2023–2024 school year.

On October 1, 2022, students could begin filling out the FAFSA, and the deadline was today.

Both undergraduates and graduates are welcome to this event.

You won’t be able to get federal aid if you miss this date. You shouldn’t wait until the last minute to file your FAFSA, even though June 30 is the deadline.

You can benefit from filing your FAFSA early, preferably as soon as October 1 approaches. Those who file early are more likely to receive grants and other forms of aid.

Financial aid may be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis in some cases.

You’ll get more financial aid if you submit your FAFSA early.

It’s easy to make corrections thanks to a straightforward process.

You have until 11:59 pm Central Time on September 14, 2024, to submit corrections for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Here’s how to edit your FAFSA online:

  • Log in with your FSA ID.
  • Start or edit a FAFSA form for 2023-24 by selecting “Start or edit a FAFSA form for 2023-24.”
  • Identify your role (student, parent, or preparer).
  • Select “Make Corrections” on the “My FAFSA” page.
  • If you need to access your FAFSA form later, create a save key.
  • Update your information as necessary.
  • Fill out the FAFSA form and submit it.

Corrections can also be made by writing them on your Student Aid Report (SAR), signing it, and mailing it to the address provided.
