The name of the service might be different where you are. You can use SUN Bucks along with other programs like WIC and SNAP. Even when schools are out for the summer, kids can still get free SUN Meals at nearby meal sites or through SUN Meals To-Go.
Your school-aged children will automatically be enrolled in SUN Bucks if you already receive benefits such as SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR.

Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals at schools offering the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) can also enroll automatically.
The automated registration process simplifies the application process for many families and reduces paperwork.
If you’re not already signed up for SUN Bucks, you can apply for them directly. You must make a certain amount of money.
You will need to list your child’s name, school, date of birth, home address, and how much money your family makes. The new, easier form makes it easier for families to apply for prizes since there is no need to show proof of membership or your SSN.

Using SUN Bucks, you can purchase fruits, vegetables, dairy products, breads, cereals, snacks, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and non-alcoholic beverages.
