Dmytro Kuleba Meets Wang Yi For Help: Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba had a very deep conversation with the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi on July 23 and 24.

Ukraine had asked for help for the first time from China to settle the dispute with Russia.
While Kuleba was in Ukraine, the country was in the middle of a big diplomatic attempt to set the stage for direct talks with the Kremlin.
In the meeting Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine was ready to talk “when Russia is ready to negotiate in good faith,” but it doesn’t seems like the Russia currently plans to.

Wang Yi noted that, “conditions and timing are not yet ripe.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that to stop the war Ukraine must surrender four regions of Ukraine that he his force partially occupies.
He also noted that Ukraine should leave NATO and its military power should also be reduced.
Ukraine plans to hold a second peace conference with Russia later this year. Meanwhile, it plans to put forward views on food security, energy, and the exchange of prisoners of war to the UN General Assembly so that they can vote on them.

In a tweet, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, “We agreed with President Trump to discuss at a personal meeting what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting.”
Last year, Donald Trump said that if he became president, he can end the war in 24 hours.
Ukraine is trying to start a peace process because its allies are clearly tired of the conflict.
Ukraine Cuurently Holds Frontlines
According to Oleksandr Syrskii, commander-in-chief of Ukraine, Russia has around 520,000 soldiers on the battlefield and plans to have around 690,000 soldiers by the end of this year.
Reports say that Ukraine is currently holding the frontline and has only won 550sq km (193sq miles) this year. But Ukraine had to lose a lot of money and lives to get here.
Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, welcomed Zelenskyy’s, he said, “We cannot yet judge what exactly is behind these words, what concrete plans are being talked about.”
