David Lynch is Diagnosed with Lung Cancer: David Keith Lynch is a successful American filmmaker who has worked in many successful movies. The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, and Mulholland Drive for which he has been nominated for Academy awards.

David Lynch has announced that he has been diagnosed with emphysema, even mild-cold can be harmful to him. “I’ve gotten emphysema from smoking for so long and so I’m homebound whether I like it or not. … And now, because of COVID, it would be very bad for me to get sick, even with a cold,” Lynch told Sight and Sound.

What is Emphysema

Emphysema is a disease you can get because you smoke a lot or you live in a highly polluted area. In this disease the walls of the alveoli(The muscle that expands while inhaling and shrinks while exhaling) in your lungs get damaged. this will result in either air getting trapped in your lungs or oxygen not stopping in your body then your body won’t get the oxygen it needs.

David Lynch said “I have now quit smoking for over two years. Recently I had many tests and the good news is that I am in excellent shape except for emphysema.
