Chapter 35 VA Benefits Pay Scale 2024: The high standards of schooling often get in the way of people who want to get better. These are the reasons why the VA raises the amount of Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) every year. Read on to find out how much you get this year.
Table of Contents
The amount each beneficiary gets each month is based on a number of things. It is up to the VA to decide what kind of schooling or training you get, how many classes you take, and how much time you spend learning on the job.
If you work full-time, you get paid the same amount. Also, if you don’t take as many classes or training hours as the VA thinks you should, you will get less money. The same goes if you are learning on the job or through an internship.
When the is planning for the DEA it looks at how long you have been in the program.
You can get up to $1,488 a month if you have been enrolled for the whole month and are in a high-learning school or non-college degree program. If you are learning on the job or through an internship, you could get up to $945.
