Cash App Settlement Eligibility: Cash App Investing and its parent company, Block Inc., settled a case for $15 million earlier this year.

Furthermore, Old users of the Cash App are expected to get compensation for the proposed class-action settlement from the well-known online payment service.
However, the Cash App was charged with two specific instances where it accessed the data of users without their permission which led to many unauthorized charges that affected Cash App users.
These users who have faced these issues filed a case against Cash App Investing and Block Inc.
According to the class action, the company revealed that a former worker of the company had downloaded records of some U.S. users without permission in 2021 and also similar dates were stolen in 2023, an unauthorized person used phone numbers to access the details of some Cash app users.
It is believed that Cash App Investing and its parent company, Block Inc. did not provide much security to protect customer information, which led to the data leaks.

Are you eligible for the Cash App Settlement?
Cash users who have experienced unauthorized login to your profile or withdrawal money from your cash app with your permission between August 23, 2018, and August 20, 2023 then your are eligible to get a settlement payment.
If you want to get your compensation then cash App users should file a claim on the official settlement administrator’s website by November 18, 2024. They will hold a final meeting on December 16, 2024 to approve the settlement.
These eligible users can receive money for three types of claims including out-of-pocket losses, lost time, and transaction losses.

Cash App Settlement Eligibility: How much will you get as compensation?
The compensation could include up to $2,500 to cover the losses they didn’t, before the final approval.
Users can also receive $25 an hour up to a maximum of three hours for the lost time. Your compensation depends on the number of claims you have filed and the amount you lost.
If the claims are higher than the available payment funds, the payouts may be cut proportionally.
The user should have received an email about the Cash App settlement, if not then you should file it by visiting the official website.
