Brazil Plane Crash in Sao Paulo Killed 61 people: According to the sources, a Voepass flight that was carrying 61 people crashed in Brazil on Friday. The official reports stated that no one from the 61 passengers on board survived the crash.

These passengers were heading towards Guarulhos Airport, near Sao Paulo from Cascavel, Brazil.

The airlines reported that the ATR 72-500 plane was carrying 57 passengers and four crew members along with the pilots and every one of them died in the crash.

Airlines authorities said that one passenger who booked tickets didn’t onboard the flight.

Furthermore, the airlines reported that there is no proof of how the accident happened. Voepass said that Flight 2283 took off without any operational problems and all its systems were okay before the plane took off.

The head of Brazil’s aviation accidents office, CENIPA, Brigadier Marcelo Moreno said that that the plane didn’t send any emergency messages.

Brigadier Marcelo Moreno said in a press conference, “Preliminarily, we have information that there was no information from the aircraft and that it didn’t have any kind of emergency.”

A press statement said that CENIPA has the two black boxes of the plane that contain the cockpit voice recordings and the flight data.

The Brazil plane crash took place at 1:28 p.m. local time and soon after the military police were notified.

According to the reports, the two-engine ATR 72 model plane, which is 14 years old, was flying at 17,000 feet when suddenly it started to fall rapidly.

The local police reported that the Brazilian plane crashed near a house in Vinhedo, which is outside of the city and only one person in the neighbours were injured.

On Friday, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva who is the Brazilian president in a meeting said everyone to stay silent for one minute for the people who died in the plane crash.

A video of the Brazilian plane crash that went viral on the internet showed the plane dropping out of the sky in a spiral, followed by a big fireball.

Officials reported that the governor of Sao Paulo is on his way back from Vitoria to assist the situation and the civil aviation office of Brazil is currently investigating the incident spot.

The aircraft manufacturer company, ATR, said its experts are “fully engaged to support both the investigation and the customer.”

In a statement, the company said, “Our first thoughts are with all the individuals affected by this event.”

CENIPA is also investigating the scene spot to find the cause of the horrific accident.
