Brazil Plane Crash: 61 Boarded Passengers Died

Brazil Plane Crash: Flight 2283 Left for the Guarulhos, in São Paulo state, crashed in a residential area on Friday afternoon in Vinhedo. Sao Paulo’s public security secretary, Guilherme Derrite confirmed there were no casualties from the area but none of the passengers that boarded the plane survived.

The Aircraft took off shortly before noon, the plane was flying at a height of 17,000 feet until 1:21 p.m. when it suddenly in approximately one minute, began rapidly descending. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced in between the event he was attending about the plane crash.

“I would like everyone to stand up so that we can observe a minute of silence because a plane has just crashed in the city of Vinhedo, in Sao Paulo, with 58 passengers and four crew members, and it appears they all died,” he said.

A social media post shows the plane falling from the sky getting blocked by trees and preventing from creating more damage. ATR released the statement about the incident saying“Our first thoughts are with all the individuals affected by this event. The ATR specialists are fully engaged to support both the investigation and the customer,”

The victims who died in the crash were 58 passengers and 4 cabin crew the medical team is on-site trying to identify the bodies. Multiple agencies are on the case but the one in charge of the investigation will be the Brazilian Air Force team according to Vinhedo City Hall. The Black box is in authority custody and the reason for the crash will soon be disclosed.
