Belgium Star Guard Julie Allemand: For the 2024 Paris Olympics, Belgium’s national women’s basketball team will be without one of its star players.
According to the Belgian national team, Julie Allemand will miss the entire Olympics due to an injury.
A broken heart emoji was posted on social media after the announcement of the injury but no details were given.
With Julie Vanloo, Allemand is one of two current WNBA players on the Belgian roster.

As a result of an injury, she opted out of the 2024 season and was placed on a full season suspension by the Los Angeles Sparks.
Her name is not currently listed on the roster of the Los Angeles Lakers.
During her time with Lyon in France, she averaged 10.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds.
Allemand has played in two WNBA seasons, with the Indiana Fever in 2020 and the Sky in 2022.

Five years of averaging 5.8 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.1 boards per game. Nastja Claessens, who was picked by the Washington Mystics in the third round of the 2024 WNBA Draft, will play there.
This is a terrible injury for Belgium because Allemand was in charge of a team that was expected to compete with Team USA for the gold medal.

During the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in February, Belgium nearly upset Team USA.
